Automating the Windows 95/98 Dialer

With Windows 95/98 be sure your username and password are in the "Connect To" dialog box before clicking on the connect button. If a Connect window does not appear when you dial out to the Internet it may be due to one of the numerous revisions Microsoft has made to the settings windows in the Internet Options icon in the Control Panel.

Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
Double-click Internet Options
Click Connections Look in the Dial-up Settings window to verify that your Inwave connection is highlighted as "Default"

Make sure the option to Always dial my default connection is selected!  Then click OK to save the changes.

Remember - the username should be all lower-case letters and your password is case-sensitive.
